The introduction of laparoscopic techniques in the late nineties has revolutionized gynaecological surgical procedures. In the group of gynaecological operations, a subgroup of typically laparoscopic surgery has originated. This is predominantly adnexa surgery of low and medium difficulty level. It includes: diagnostic surgery, assessment of tubal patency, sterilization (not performed in Poland), conservative and radical adnexa surgery. These operations are the subject of the first article of a five-part series.
