Dietary supplements (DS) are the most commonly used (with or without the obstetrician’s recommendation) formulations by pregnant women. This paper reviews possible clinical benefits of the use of such DS as folic acid, vitamin D, DHA, probiotics, iodine and cranberry during pregnancy. According to the Evidence Based Medicine, pregnant women should be advised to use only selected DS in proper doses to achieve certian clinical benefits
