In present literature suggestions concerning safety and effectiveness of vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC) seems to appear more often. On the basis of predominate number of analyses seem that trial of vaginal birth after cesarean section is more cost-effective than repeat cesarean delivery. Appearance of severe complications is the reason why these women should undergo a trial of vaginal birth after cesarean in high-care perinatal centers. Analyzing data concerning cost-effectiveness of delivery, not taking into account whether it is trial of a vaginal birth after cesarean nor repeat cesarean section, a suspicion aroused that most cost-saving policy would be reducing the number of cesarean sections among nullipara. Further research leading to create an algorithm allowing to assess individual likelihood of successful trial of vaginal birth after cesarean section is needed.
